Fcl cargo stuck in clearance due to allied acts violation and resultant adjudications

Price: 25000.00 Rs.

Importers are increasingly faced with the prospects of paying high container detention charges for FCL cargoes.

The reasons are varied.

  1. Lockdown at either the origin country/ switch bill of lading country or in the operation area of the importer. (temporary)
  2. Corona related hospitalization /quarantine either at supplier’s end or receiver’s end. (temporary)
  3. Bureau of Indian Standards applicability interpretation.
  4. Other participating government agencies (pga) rejections culminating into adjudication etc.etc.

It’s seen that 14 days detention free period is not sufficient to take care of this delays and importer ends up paying a huge price for the import clearance, even after waivers from shipping lines.
